Teacher Professional Development and School Outreach
“Dr. Mike” has traveled around the world to talk to teachers about how to engage students with science, and to inspire students to use their natural curiosity to explore the world around them. He is a frequent speaker at Regional and National Science Teachers Association meetings, and has traveled around the country to give professional development seminars for teachers. He has also traveled extensively to K-12 classrooms to discuss his research with students of all ages or to model the use of video based projects.
